Filomena began her academic career in Toronto, Canada, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from York University. Driven by her passion for law and public service, she pursued her legal education in the United States, obtaining her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law. She is a proud member of the Florida Bar and also serves as a notary public.

Rocki Maimone is the Chief Operating Officer of Maimone Legal, a Florida-based law firm specializing in immigration, estate planning, and business law. A dynamic and accomplished businesswoman, Rocki holds a Master’s Degree in Science and Education and brings decades of entrepreneurial and leadership experience to her role.
Before joining Maimone Legal, Rocki built and led multiple successful ventures, including a sales and marketing company and a retirement home, which she rebranded, revitalized into a thriving community, and successfully sold before relocating to Florida. In Canada, she was an active real estate investor and advisor, known for her keen eye for growth opportunities and her ability to build value from the ground up. In Florida, she holds her Realtor’s license and continues to apply her expertise in business development and property investment.
Rocki played a pivotal role in building Maimone Legal from inception to a respected, multi-practice law firm. Her passion for sales, marketing, and operational excellence is matched by her commitment to empowering others. Johanna
Johanna is a deeply experienced and resourceful immigration attorney licensed in both the United States and Canada. As Managing Attorney at Maimone Legal, she brings not only legal precision but also personal insight to every case, having herself navigated the complexities of the U.S. and Canadian immigration systems. Her practice encompasses a broad spectrum of immigration matters, including employment-based, family-based, humanitarian, and extraordinary ability petitions—with particular experience representing professional athletes and other high-achieving individuals.
Known for her legal creativity and strategic thinking, Johanna is particularly adept at resolving complex challenges, including Requests for Evidence (RFEs), agency denials, and consular processing complications. She regularly advises high-achieving professionals and individuals of extraordinary ability—including elite athletes, entrepreneurs, and recognized figures in business and the arts. Her petitions are known for their strength, narrative clarity, and thorough evidentiary support.
Johanna earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, where she distinguished herself as a rigorous legal thinker. She also holds a Master of Science in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University and an Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences, where she graduated at the top of her class, specializing in Health Promotion with a minor in Psychology. She is licensed to practice law in both Massachusetts and Alberta, Canada, and is eligible for admission in New York. Before entering private practice, Johanna worked in Indigenous governance, global environmental policy, and international advocacy, including negotiations before the United Nations.
